About The Blessing Space

A Mother Blessing is a circle of love.

The people who love the mother-to-be gather not to play games or open gifts, but to surround her with support, reflection, encouragement, and blessing as she crosses the threshold into motherhood.

There is something that happens in that circle when people speak from their hearts. Something shifts. Something that is difficult to put into words and impossible to forget.

Eileen and Ilona met as labor and delivery nurses, two women who spent years walking beside other women through the most tender passages of becoming. Ilona has since followed that calling into midwifery. Eileen continues her work with families as a doula, school nurse, and wellness coach. Between them, they hold more than five decades of experience standing at the edge of becoming.

They have been friends for more than 25 years. They are mothers. They know what it means to cross a threshold with and without people holding the space around you.

That is why they built this space.

What began with motherhood has grown into something larger. A space for honoring every sacred crossing with beauty, presence, and care.
